Having read the comments, I don't think I'm going to say anything that hasn't been said before, but just... wow.
This is absolutely beautiful. I won't spoil it for anyone, just say that you made me cry my eyes out. Gorgeous storytelling, the development of the characters is wonderful, the minigames are not too easy and not too hard, I like that they progress in difficulty, and the style of the game is lovely. Pixel graphic games are one of my favourite kinds, look at Stardew Valley and Undertale, Deltarune, many emotions can be captured in those perfect little fragments. Isn't that just so fitting?
MAJOR SPOILERS:
The whole point of the ending is that we're thriving on their beliefs. Does Daniel know how it ends? No. But he takes the decision into his own hands. Eames on the other hand has to believe, he's been believing for so long, the cores are his proof that there's something more. Then, it becomes our proof. All we do is see him smile, see him die, but we know that he has a core now. That he'll make it to the new world. Did the Goddess make good on her promise, or was it purely Daniel who allowed him to develop? Evie tells us that the one who dies without a smile will transcend the cycle, and Daniel dies without a smile. I do wonder if he's the one that saved Eames, in more ways than he'll ever know.
I also know it's been two years and we're not supposed to know if what they believed is true, but my gosh, I want to see the new world so badly. I want to meet Eames' parents, see Jess' baby, see them in their Prom outfits-
I took a chance on this game expecting a cute story with traces of horror. What I got was a life-changing experience that shook me to my core, and I can't stop crying or smiling.
hello!! :D i just wanted to say that this game so far has been holding me in a chokehold fsjhfs the plot is literally scrumptious and im in love with the dialogue progression and the characters' chemistry together :) but i'm experiencing an issue with one of the mini-games ;( the one where you've got to click multiple times on the floor to clean up - and it's not working </3 i've tried a bunch of different things like quitting and relaunching the game, even downloading it and playing it from both the itch app and website but it just doesn't seem so work and it's upsetting me a lot because i genuinely want to play this game until the very end :') so if anyone knows how to fix this bug - kindly let me know!! (i was considering purchasing the game along with the artbook on steam, in hopes of it working, so if that's an option that may happen to fix this bug, please do tell me!!) thank you again so much for creating this masterpiece :D i hope to be able to play it all until the end once i get this fixed hehehfdjhf <33
Y'all don't know how much this game psychologically affected me. Ugly crying over my keyboard after coming home from a residential and not being able to cry omgs.
Game so good I made an account to post this commet
