Unfortunately we do not own a Mac ourselves and had to make the OS version on a friend's Mac so we are not sure which OS versions are compatible with it. Right now, we are unable to make other versions unless we find someone else who has a different Mac. :( We're very sorry about that!!
There's always the gameplay video on Youtube (with no commentary) if that is all right with you, or we were told that the emulated windows version should work.

When I open the game, I get some errors like this :

Usually this happens when some data is missing/incompatible/corrupted. A re-download might fix it, since sometimes the downloads can be a bit unstable on itchio! (If there are no conflicts with other programs such an anti-viruses etc.)
Otherwise, make sure you're not using any old save data on a newer version of the game or anything else like that.
It is quite the rare problem from what we saw (only reported twice and it's the first time we hear about it for our game), but hopefully we can find a solution! :)

The game engine does have an option to export the game as an executable for mac, but unfortunately we don't know anyone who owns one, so we're currently unable to test it out.
If that doesn't bother you however, we can release it soon.
We've run into the problem that we actually need someone with a mac to export a running version of them game? So we will try to find someone who's willing to help us out for this :o

Its such an amazing game. I enjoyed every second of it and im not gonna lie i cried a lot. Even though it was short i got attached to these characters and i really hope you'll make more games
Soo.. I might or might not have created an itch.io account for the sole purpose of being able to tell you guys how great and touching I found your game to be? The way the narrative slowly unfolded and the interactions between the characters was so masterfully executed I'm legitimately in awe. Niles is the perfect tragic hero and so much of his personality is translated through such well-written dialogue (without facial expressions too!) that I couldn't help get attached to him, and despite everything, hoped for a happy ending for both him and his beloved. Also, that scene? With Sixten at the end? God that hurt so so much but holy hell was it well done and poignant! Overall, I think you guys can see how much your little game affected me. I'd like to issue my thanks to both Y and Hoshiko for allowing me and many others to experience such a tale. Now if you'll allow me, I'll be going through the Other Story to bask in this world and its characters as long as I'm allowed to. Can't wait to see what you guys are preparing for your next project, take care! <3

It's kind of a funny story but I was looking for musics that could be used for rpg maker games and I ran into the very talented Scott Arc on the rpg maker forums! I immediately fell in love with their music and couldn't help but think of a story that would fit in with them, together with the restricted color palette. We had just replayed most Silent Hill games at the time, so I suppose that played a part as well.

This was a rare experience, and I'm still crying after having finished it. It's beem a long time since I've cried this hard. You told a very powerful story where I honestly didn't really expect one. Thank you for making this game.

Besides, I feel extremely regretful that when Niles passed away , Sixten said the words Niles wanted most. If possible, Niles will truly smile as long as he hears Sixten's speech. However, at that time, Niles didn't hear anything anymore...

I did't look at the tags of the game so I was learning everything about the relationship aspect along with Elise which was fantastic!
The game itself was entertaining (albeit sad) and the atmosphere build-up was great. There are enough hints thrown around to help the player figure some things in advance.
I was actually looking over the game files when I happened upon some interesting pictures, for example 'S's room'. It's probably just early concepts but it was fun to look at, especially since I have grown to love every single character : )

The secret code is to open the "!!Bonus!!.rar" folder :) The location is slightly different depending on the version you have, but it should be either in the main directory or in the "www" directory.
Beautifully written. The transition from the shock of keeping a zombie in your house to the pity (and, to a certain degree, empathy) at Nile's reasons for doing so was very well done. The story was very well-written and compelling and I must say I shed a few tears at the end! Definitely one of the best indies I've played in a while. I rate it an i cried / 10. I hope to see more content from you in the future! :)
P.S: I'm 100% replaying this so I can unlock the super secret Bonus thing. Well-hidden! I almost didn't notice. :D
P.S.S: Sorry if I'm not meant to ask, but - I've been looking through the files (I'm a developer, couldn't help myself) and I was wondering, is there some place I can privately message you guys? I have a few questions that I don't want to put out here because it might spoil some things.
On another note, I found a small bug. Around the end of the game I found a text box that probably wasn't supposed to be there at that point in the game. I was walking through the shopping area looking at the coprses when I thought I heard Niles's come out of nowhere, "Aren't you cold, Ava?"
This game made me cry terribly, which is very hard to do. Is it possible in a later version to have a sort of after credits sequence with Sixten and Niles together in the afterlife? Or even an image? -M. Manatee

Hi. That's a good game you produced here. The plot is interesting, the soundtrack is very good, visuals are nice. I took a chance to make a gameplay for my channel. You have talent in write plots man, keep it up!
I watched the AlphaBetaGamer playthrough of "96" this morning. I usually scrob through playthrough vids, especially when they're long...but I found myself absorbed in Niles' story for the full one-and-a-half hours. While I could tell the dialogue was done by non-Native English speakers, the STORYTELLING was ABSOLUTELY COMPELLING and the feelings did not get lost in translation.
For me, think the nuanced opinion/portrayal of Niles really lands; he's sympathetic but, like Elise, I wouldn't necessarily call him my friend.
Not to mention the soundtrack was spot-on and the aesthetic was A++.
SILENT HILL 2 is famous for being a horror game, but a deeper look reminds us that it's always been a tragic love story, and "96" follows this tradition. Well done, y'all.

Rpg maker mv sometimes really don't like older systems like windows 7 (it's super picky for some reason)
It might also be that the game is missing some data, please make sure you've decompressed it and nothing is missing.

Its a amazing game, one of the most emotional games what i see.
this game stuck in my head (and its so hard to do so good job)
I only miss one thing, maybe different endings :( maybe a happy ending or something :( i really liked this game.
so if this game gets more ending, i think, i can say this is the best game in this type.

The secret code is to open the "!!Bonus!!.rar" folder :)
The location is slightly different depending on the version you have, but it should be either in the main directory or in the "www" directory.

Beautifully written. The transition from the shock of keeping a zombie in your house to the pity (and, to a certain degree, empathy) at Nile's reasons for doing so was very well done. The story was very well-written and compelling and I must say I shed a few tears at the end! Definitely one of the best indies I've played in a while. I rate it an i cried / 10. I hope to see more content from you in the future! :)
P.S: I'm 100% replaying this so I can unlock the super secret Bonus thing. Well-hidden! I almost didn't notice. :D

Hi, this was a great story. Very compelling.
On another note, I found a small bug. Around the end of the game I found a text box that probably wasn't supposed to be there at that point in the game. I was walking through the shopping area looking at the coprses when I thought I heard Niles's come out of nowhere, "Aren't you cold, Ava?"

I watched the AlphaBetaGamer playthrough of "96" this morning. I usually scrob through playthrough vids, especially when they're long...but I found myself absorbed in Niles' story for the full one-and-a-half hours. While I could tell the dialogue was done by non-Native English speakers, the STORYTELLING was ABSOLUTELY COMPELLING and the feelings did not get lost in translation.
For me, think the nuanced opinion/portrayal of Niles really lands; he's sympathetic but, like Elise, I wouldn't necessarily call him my friend.
Not to mention the soundtrack was spot-on and the aesthetic was A++.
SILENT HILL 2 is famous for being a horror game, but a deeper look reminds us that it's always been a tragic love story, and "96" follows this tradition. Well done, y'all.
