About the Future
Hello everyone! :)
This might be the first real devlog I'm doing.
As you've probably heard, Unity isn't doing too good, lately.
For the next game, we wanted to try and make it on Unity, but after what has happened we're not so sure anymore.
It's not a big deal since we were already on the fence so all of my graphical assets work on both RPGMaker and Unity, and we hadn't started coding too much.
I'd like to try switching to Godot, if I can keep up with my ambition.
I am not a programmer, never have been, so it might take quite some time for me to learn how to code in this new engine and how to use it.
If I can do this, though, I can perhaps bring you much more complex games!
I'd finally be able to code mini-games or interactions that I've been thinking about for a long time now, without relying on plugins only.
I still love narrative games the most, but I'd also be overjoyed if I could bring you some more gameplay in-between the dialogues :)
Hopefully my dream will come true one day.
If not, I suppose we will be back to a more familiar engine, but even if we will never reach the Unity threshold for the fees, we really do not want to support a company like that.
Hopefully it all works out great,
We wish you all a wonderful day, as things have been rough for everyone everywhere,
Love,
Y
